There are fake social media posts about poll workers marking on you ballot so your ballot would be rejected. Since we are using our direct read electronic voting machines (DREs) most voters will not be using a paper ballot to vote. Even those few individuals whose circumstances require that they use a paper ballot will be marking that ballot in secret so no poll worker will be marking in the selection area. At the end of early voting hours on Thursday, October 15, we had 209 total voters in Trousdale County who had cast their ballot. 12 had sent in an absentee by-mail ballot and 197 had voted in person. Early voting continues today at 200 East Main Street, Room 3, Hartsville TN (the historic Courthouse in downtown). Below is a complete listing of early voting hours.
Referendum Question
The November ballot contains three proposed Tennessee Constitutional amendments and one local referendum about the proposed wheel tax. Election Commissioners, Election Office staff and poll workers cannot make recommendations on how to vote on these questions. Please do some research prior to coming to vote so you can make an informed decision. Information concerning the three amendments is available on the Secretary of States web site or the govotetn app. .
