Early voting for the Republican State Primary, Democratic State Primary, County General and State Judicial Retention Elections starts on July 17, 2026, and continues through August 1, 2026. Voters can choose one of the two Primary ballots with the County General ballot or they can choose just the County General ballot. A sample ballot is on the sample ballot page.
Write-in Candidacy and Early Voting Hours
Several offices on the August 6, 2026, ballot have write-in candidates. Social media and the local newspaper are good sources to find the names of those candidates and the platform on which they base their campaign. Poll workers and election officals are not permitted to provide wrie-in names during early voting or on Election Day.
